A verse about Abraham about how by faith he left his country for a place he did not know, really encouraged me. There is so much unknown ahead. I kept thinking "what if." And we are not getting any younger. After reading about Abraham, I prayed and told God, "I am willing to step out on faith, but I'm asking you to close the doors if this is not what you want." That was at 5:00 in the morning. We received a call for placement at 9:00...just 4 hours later. God swung the doors wide open. I guess I should write a blog post about that. :) Blessings to your family...I'm praying as my children have often prayed "that God will bring you the right children."Natashahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03704419590988377349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2844015486469994304.post-60897667135316162672014-04-08T21:15:58.312-05:002014-04-08T21:15:58.312-05:00Joy filled and thankful with you!Joy filled and thankful with you!JamieLGunnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17269998116860353007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2844015486469994304.post-43951844897288847102014-04-08T20:02:04.271-05:002014-04-08T20:02:04.271-05:00A beautiful post! We are wanting to adopt again, too, and are considering domestic adoption this time through the foster care system, but I confess I am frightened about so many things. We are "older, wiser" adoptive parents now, not acting from the naive impressions we had seven years ago, but far more aware of the struggles children have, and more aware of the special needs of the treasures already in our home. I want more children in our home -- we have the room in our heart, our home, our vehicle, our everything (except, you know, the budget, but who has the room there?! :-)) -- but I am really frightened, deep down frightened, now that I know how very serious it is to bring a child into our home. I would be thankful for your prayers! I want to trust God in this for HIS timing and HIS choices.thesleepyknitterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16656285733945917516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2844015486469994304.post-2995437820160082982014-04-08T17:03:40.221-05:002014-04-08T17:03:40.221-05:00Thank you for sharing your blessings.
