Sometimes it's hard to accommodate my procrastinator and her sister, the get-it-done-now girl. I bet that would help. What do you do if something is not done by dinnertime?Desireehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09528621005453402499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2844015486469994304.post-74846756559482526572011-09-02T19:44:36.760-05:002011-09-02T19:44:36.760-05:00Jennifer,

I read one time that ten toys are about all a child can realistically be responsible for taking care of. I tried limiting the number of toys we had out (put the others away temporarily), and it made an incredible difference. For a 3 year old, use pictures on the chore cards. i.e. toy box for picking up, clothing for getting dressed, toothbrush for brushing teeth.Natashahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03704419590988377349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2844015486469994304.post-89889849291871230132011-09-02T10:31:04.444-05:002011-09-02T10:31:04.444-05:00Great idea. It's funny, because when I request my daughter, who is almost 8, to clean her room she consistently wants a list of what to do. I think she feels overwhelmed by the task. I think I'll try to implement this idea with her today. Just give her steps to follow and hopefully she will eventually not require me to tell her every time it comes to cleaning her room. We'll see how it works.Jennifer H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10357737788882456539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2844015486469994304.post-35052074638789013202011-09-01T13:31:13.273-05:002011-09-01T13:31:13.273-05:00I think I need something like this to keep MYSELF ...I think I need something like this to keep MYSELF on track!!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04441772575424198075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2844015486469994304.post-63769839615465360682011-08-31T20:47:28.162-05:002011-08-31T20:47:28.162-05:00Melissa, the 8th slot has extra cards in it, so if...Melissa, the 8th slot has extra cards in it, so if I do need to change someone's chores I grab a card and write on it.Natashahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03704419590988377349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2844015486469994304.post-36563541588700674832011-08-31T18:08:45.795-05:002011-08-31T18:08:45.795-05:00What a great system!
